In this episode I speak with my energetics mentor Jason Parks. I asked:

How did you came across the concept of humanistic, intellectual, and financial capital?

Can you go deeper on what exactly you mean by humanistic capital?

What is the idea of energy transmutation?

What does it mean to be a spiritual mentor?

Can you explain the universal laws?

Is it true that you can manifest anything you want?

When you reference the “divine”, or “consciousness”, what do you mean by that?

Who are you ever competing against other than yourself?

What did it feel like to be “rock-bottom”?

Why is understanding energetics so important?

awesome okay we’re recording jason welcome back onto the jake woodhouse podcast how you doing
0:00:08
i’m good jake thank you very excited for this conversation and i thought that the way i would
0:00:15
tee it up for everyone is first of all go back and listen to the episode that we did
0:00:21
all the way back at the start of this year for more context on who you are and equally the
0:00:27
the relationship we have which is a mentoring one in which we speak on a weekly basis and you’ve
0:00:33
helped me hugely to reframe what I consider to be work in a way that is empowering me rather than
0:00:43
what previously has been happening which is um it’s it’s I’ve been doubting myself essentially
0:00:50
and that area is in humanistic investing so what would be cool is just a very brief recap as to
0:00:56
like how you even came across this concept of humanistic intellectual and financial wealth
0:01:03
because that story is really cool and then we’ll spend as much time as we can kind of unpacking
0:01:08
well what is humanistic capital and how can you invest in it yeah okay so yeah it is an interesting
0:01:16
story and we’ll we’ll give the full version of it the woo-woo version go for it so so my father
0:01:23
my father had passed away a couple of months earlier after nine years of dealing with cancer
0:01:31
and he had been very successful in his business and he would he had been in throughout my lifetime
0:01:39
he was working in butchering and in farming so he had trout farm he had fine wool merino
0:01:46
know sheep and and he had butcher shops and long story short got to a point in his life where he
0:01:55
became ill and passed away and after that it all sort of happened for me at that point I’d sort of
0:02:02
had my whole life it got to a point it’s 12 years ago my whole life got to a point where you know
0:02:07
people talk about having the the rock bottom experience so I had a day when it was a bad
0:02:15
afternoon and then that afternoon I had my health had collapsed my mental health was on its way out
0:02:22
as well mental wellness was on its way out I’d had a side I was in a job I had to let that go that day
0:02:30
I had a business that I’d been working towards for like 20 28 years and I was like I’m gonna have
0:02:39
to hand this over to my off-sider because that’s it I’m too old to go on and um and I’d been working
0:02:48
for decades to live in the north of Tasmania to set up a life there and and in that one day it all
0:02:54
sort of came crashing to a halt and when I talked to my boss and said I’m done and I was packing my
0:03:00
office my desk up I um got the call you need to come to the hospital now and dad passed away that
0:03:05
evening so it was like it all happened on one day and um and it was it was interesting because
0:03:14
within a couple of months like all of all of those things played out and uh everything sort of passed
0:03:22
away that i’ve been building and my wife had to go back to work we had two young kids one one was
0:03:29
one year old and one was uh would have been about six six and a half and um so my wife had to go to
0:03:38
work because i was too sick to work and and i was stay at home and um and it was it was a lot
0:03:47
it was a lot at that time and anyway the story is we went into hobart one day when we first moved
0:03:53
south and i had 20 bucks in my wallet and uh my wife karen said to me said look just go have a
0:04:01
walk around town she was taking the kids to buy some clothes and said just go and have a walk
0:04:05
around town you know here’s 20 bucks if you get yourself a drink or something as you’re wandering
0:04:09
around do whatever you know we’ll give you a call when we’re ready to go and uh i was walking along
0:04:15
the street and then i got this incredibly strong perception about my father and it was like it was
0:04:21
like i was walking along and i looked up and it’s just like that little flash out of the corner of
0:04:25
your eye like you were standing there pointing uphill up this street and and i was just like
0:04:30
okay that was weird but it was like well i am walking around town and as i’m walking around
0:04:38
town there’s um i’m walking along i’m thinking this is weird i wonder why i’m supposed to walk
0:04:43
up here and i get in line with this secondhand bookshop and they had a little window not much
0:04:47
bigger than like what this is presenting uh with the camera and there was uh there was a book
0:04:54
so i look in the display and there’s like a this guy’s got a book and he’s like
0:05:00
like this and it’s kind of like you know god give me a sign and uh and the book was on uh
0:05:08
intergenerational family wealth and as soon as i saw the title i was just like oh walked in i said
0:05:14
I said to this guy can I have a look at that book and he had a look at it’s like yep this is what
0:05:18
it’s about I’m like well this is exactly what my father wanted me to know and um and I said how much
0:05:24
for the book and he said well he said it’s an 80 book I said I was going to sell it for 30 but
0:05:30
you know I can’t even get to sit on this on the display stand so look 20 bucks it’s yours
0:05:35
and 20 bucks there you go done and i walked away reading this book and i learned a couple of things
0:05:44
it’s a very interesting one you and i’ve talked about it before and you’ve read it yourself um
0:05:48
but there there was a couple of principles came out of it and one of it was about the relationship
0:05:56
of generations in creating wealth how one generate like a and how basically how it aligns
0:06:04
with universal law about the transmutation of energy so things go through a creation phase and
0:06:09
then stasis and then decay so there is a statement in that book which is um that we go from like
0:06:20
shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves in three generations so the first generation has nothing so they build
0:06:27
their empire and then their kids have witnessed that they’ve grown up around that but they didn’t
0:06:33
do it so they have enough knowledge of it to know how to maintain the energy of it but not enough to
0:06:39
create it again themselves and then generally their kids come along and the grandkids well
0:06:46
they’ve never known anything but wealth so all they know how to do is spend it and then by the
0:06:52
end of their generation it’s right back and the next generation has to then start in the you know
0:06:57
in the dirt again and build their own empires so that was a fascinating thing because i experienced
0:07:04
it i watched it happen many many times and it was part of the thing that i didn’t understand how it
0:07:09
worked but but the other aspect of it was a key aspect of creating wealth through generations
0:07:14
was understanding that wealth has multiple aspects to it and money and the things money buys
0:07:25
are only a part of it.
0:07:27
And so it broke that, it gave a model that said,
0:07:30
okay, we have three kinds of wealth.
0:07:33
There’s financial wealth or capital,
0:07:37
there’s intellectual capital,
0:07:39
and then there’s humanistic capital.
0:07:42
And that to me on one level was news.
0:07:46
So I was very aware of what it looked like
0:07:50
because I was broke humanistically.
0:07:51
I was broke financially.
0:07:54
I had a lot of information, but I couldn’t piece it together.
0:07:58
So I was missing the key bits that put it all into a functioning sense.
0:08:02
And that started me looking for that work.
0:08:08
But yeah, so that’s sort of how I came across that information.
0:08:14
It’s just amazing.
0:08:15
As you retold it, I could feed it.
0:08:18
That whole like, oh, he wants me to go up here.
0:08:20
just extraordinary kind of almost out of body feeling of oh oh this is the right direction
0:08:28
and yes of course i’ve got the perfect amount of money for exactly right isn’t it you know just
0:08:34
extraordinary um but one of the things that has resonated very strongly for me recently about this
0:08:40
particular framework that it’s it’s it’s fitted into my model of the world very nicely in a way
0:08:48
that has basically made me more sophisticated
0:08:50
as a capital allocator.
0:08:54
It’s like capital is not just financial capital.
0:08:57
You’ve got these other buckets
0:08:59
that you can play around with
0:09:00
that if you’re not allocating effectively to them,
0:09:03
you’re not actually, you’re missing the point.
0:09:05
And my father, bless him, RIP dad,
0:09:09
died of a heart attack, 48 years old,
0:09:11
running his family business,
0:09:13
my family business back in England,
0:09:14
but incredibly stressed.
0:09:16
and he overworked himself to the bone basically and he died and so what’s the lesson from that
0:09:24
well obviously i’m incentivized for history not to repeat itself but in many ways the last 15 years
0:09:32
has been about asking questions why did that happen is that the right approach what was he
0:09:37
doing that maybe i shouldn’t be doing or whatever the case might be and so this idea of humanistic
0:09:42
wealth as part of this discussion is so important because if you don’t top up that bucket or your
0:09:50
intellectual one for that matter then you can’t drive financial gains it’s as simple as that so
0:09:54
let’s let’s spend a bit of time trying to define then so what do you mean by humanistic wealth in
0:10:02
this sense so so humanistic wealth um humanistic wealth is really the ability for you and the people
0:10:12
you love to thrive that’s what it is in a nutshell so there’s kind of from my perspective
0:10:19
there’s like this we go through three processes of wealth building or wealth um experience of
0:10:28
wealth so the first one is scarcity and in scarcity what we’re what we’re doing is that
0:10:34
we’re learning how to restrict or how to deal with the restriction of good where we like i’m a
0:10:42
a spiritual mentor.
0:10:43
So my perspective on all this is about the universe in which we live
0:10:47
as an energetic universe.
0:10:49
And so whilst that’s not really at odds with, you know,
0:10:54
mainstream thinking on many levels,
0:10:56
it’s a little bit broader than most perception.
0:10:59
So to look at things like scarcity, we’re in an ocean of grace.
0:11:10
the good is surrounds us at all times and the reason that we don’t experience it is because
0:11:16
we don’t let it in not because it’s not there and that process of scarcity is is us experiencing
0:11:25
our limitations around that and when we when we process that we move out of the varying kinds of
0:11:32
poverty that we develop there and then we move into a point where we start to thrive in a healthy
0:11:39
way and the literal definition of that that’s the definition of the word prosper so when we hit a
0:11:46
point of prosperity said life is good we’re comfortable we’ve got what we want and things
0:11:52
are going really well with that but there’s a level of prosperity that comes in where the
0:11:59
the flow of resources are coming in at such a pace and with such sophistication that we have to
0:12:07
actually evolve in order to manage them and that’s abundance so that is where that’s what
0:12:16
we’re really aiming at with all of it because if we’re not creating that evolution in ourself
0:12:23
we’re missing out on the real reason why we come here so it’s it’s a big picture thing so humanistic
0:12:29
wealth just to take it in itself humanistic wealth is everything that you need to thrive
0:12:35
It’s the relationships you engage in. It is the food that you eat. It’s the way in which you move
0:12:42
your body. It’s time in nature. It’s beauty. It’s art. It’s travel. It’s good books. It’s great sex.
0:12:50
It’s everything that you need to thrive. Because when you are looking at it from a wealth building
0:12:57
building perspective it’s just as much effort to create all three simultaneously as it is to just
0:13:06
focus on cash so it’s no more work you just have to frame it slightly differently and if you and
0:13:16
and my experience with it in is that out of those three the intellectual so i mean financial we we
0:13:22
understand that’s profit loss, money in, money out, liabilities and assets, and all the variations
0:13:29
upon. So everything you expect in capital allocation and management, that is financial
0:13:35
wealth. But intellectual wealth, part of that is knowledge, academic knowledge, you know,
0:13:44
that is certainly valuable, but the essence of it is wisdom. The ability to apply and to create
0:13:52
in get an idea in your head have the understanding of how to make it happen and then make it happen
0:13:57
that application of genius is really what is at the the root of wisdom and wisdom is the ability
0:14:06
for you to make better quality decisions moving forward and that is undeniable wealth and the
0:14:14
third one humanistic of course the ability for you to thrive to have that quality of life
0:14:17
because if you have those three working together what you end up with is you end up with this
0:14:24
breadth and depth of wealth that goes way beyond just how much money you give people and
0:14:32
i suppose it’s easier to explore it in the negative because it’s easier to see it in the
0:14:37
negative most people that focus on i mean my father did it i did it you know you know and
0:14:45
your father had the same experience is that when we focus on just one aspect of it at the expense
0:14:53
of the others so how much does it cost us financially when the humanistic wealth collapses
0:14:59
most most people who make a fortune in their younger years working themselves into the ground
0:15:05
to make that money they get that money and as they get older they spend most of that money either in
0:15:09
the failed relationships they lose it in divorces the problems with their kids and or their health
0:15:15
collapsing so at the end of the day it’s like what really was it worth apart from your own vanity to
0:15:21
say look what i did i got more numbers than other people got so and there’s an interesting word that
0:15:28
comes up at the very end of that being vanity which i think plays into this idea of ego as well
0:15:35
where who are you competing against other than yourself, right?
0:15:43
Yeah.
0:15:44
And even having the wherewithal to actually observe that
0:15:49
is probably the first step and something I’m experiencing as well.
0:15:56
What I’d love to do, Jason, is just to spend a bit of time again
0:15:59
thinking about what you described.
0:16:03
I think you said, you know, pretty close to rock bottom, right?
0:16:06
Your father’s died.
0:16:07
Your sickness is so bad that you can’t work.
0:16:10
You’ve got young kids.
0:16:11
Your missus had to go back and work.
0:16:13
Fuck, this was not the plan.
0:16:16
No.
0:16:16
How did, and I smirk because I know that things have changed a lot for you,
0:16:20
but how did you go from that man to then today being able to articulate
0:16:27
what you just did?
0:16:29
Like there must have been some, like this book was obviously a big moment
0:16:32
because it’s like, ah, this is a slightly different way of looking at the world
0:16:36
than I previously knew even existed.
0:16:38
What if I start reapplying this?
0:16:41
Were there some other moments or points of inspiration along that process
0:16:47
that helped pull those pieces together and really you’re moving out of that scarcity mindset into abundance?
0:16:55
Yeah, well, absolutely.
0:16:56
So the thing was, I suppose one of the things interesting about it is that when I said it was like it was pretty close to rock bottom,
0:17:09
is that I’d had previous rock bottoms and the one that hit me the hardest.
0:17:16
Because rock bottom, I used to do a lot of support work.
0:17:19
And rock bottom is the thing that support workers and social workers and psychologists and everybody are terrified.
0:17:25
because they don’t understand what it is.
0:17:28
So they look at it and they think, you know,
0:17:30
a person might commit suicide.
0:17:34
So I suppose we need a little trigger warning
0:17:37
because I’m going to talk about suicide.
0:17:39
So a person might commit suicide
0:17:42
and people think that that’s rock bottom.
0:17:45
That’s not.
0:17:46
That’s what your ego does to stop you from hitting rock bottom.
0:17:48
Rock bottom is when you hit the consequences of your life choices
0:17:53
face first with so much momentum that it actually bounces you back up onto your feet
0:18:00
that’s rock bottom and a problem with our society is that we’re so terrified rock bottom
0:18:09
that we’re constantly trying to break people’s fall and we see this all the time in things like
0:18:15
mental health and physical health and so forth is that we spend so much time breaking the momentum
0:18:20
that when a person hits the ground, they lay on it and they don’t get up.
0:18:24
They don’t bounce.
0:18:25
They haven’t hit it hard enough.
0:18:26
So they just stabilize there and it ends up becoming a chronic condition.
0:18:31
So for me, the rock bottom for me happened three years earlier
0:18:35
when my wife left me, is that we’d lost the ability to communicate.
0:18:40
We were so much external pressure on the relationship
0:18:44
and we had lost the ability to communicate to each other
0:18:49
because there was all this other stuff coming in that we’re dealing with.
0:18:53
And there was business pressure and there was money
0:18:55
and there was family things and all of this stuff.
0:19:00
So it killed our relationship.
0:19:03
And we went through the entire process of mediation
0:19:05
and setting up visitation and all those sorts of things.
0:19:09
Like we were done.
0:19:11
And then we reached a point where, and this is,
0:19:16
i have to give it to karen because i’d like to say it was all my wisdom it was like no
0:19:21
she finally got it through to me that it was like you know you really are you’re really fucking it up
0:19:27
and i knew i was because i just couldn’t get it right and it wasn’t for a lack of effort it was
0:19:36
like i just there’s there’s rules and i don’t know them and i was taking other people’s advice
0:19:43
I was working with other people’s advice,
0:19:45
but I didn’t realize that the people’s advice I was taking
0:19:48
said they were not the people you listened to.
0:19:51
And I was getting predictable results
0:19:53
based on the quality of information I was getting.
0:19:56
So our relationship separated.
0:19:58
But what happened was we were able to work through it,
0:20:00
bring it back together again, and then we started building.
0:20:03
And it was in building that, that trying to build going forward,
0:20:07
that’s when all of this stuff came to a head
0:20:09
and then my health collapsed under that.
0:20:11
and um and that was still not rock bottom because rock bottom happened i think probably
0:20:20
goodness probably about six months later six months later my health really collapsed
0:20:30
and i ended up with a um i was i was a wreck i was a complete wreck i’d gone to the point where
0:20:39
I couldn’t work I was not well enough to hold down a job but I’d got to the point where I was
0:20:47
so sick it’s like it used to take me like 45 minutes 50 minutes to do a load of dishes in a
0:20:53
rack and then I have to go and lie down and half an hour later I have enough recovery to get up and then I dry dishes and then I have to go and lie down and that was my day like trying to do something lie down trying to do something like
0:21:08
now and um so my health was completely cactus and talking to health care professionals now
0:21:15
they always said they said you’re fucked they said if you’re you know if you’re lucky you’ll
0:21:20
get a pension but your wife’s gone to work in the public service so they may not work for you
0:21:25
because you’re already, you know, she’s earning over the threshold.
0:21:28
So, you know, basically that’s it.
0:21:31
Usefulness as a man in the home is pretty limited.
0:21:36
And I did not like that answer at all.
0:21:39
And then I started to develop this other thing called transgeneral neuralgia,
0:21:45
which is, it’s like an inflammation of the nerve
0:21:49
that covers like one side of your head.
0:21:51
and what it’s like is every seven seconds getting stabbed through the face right into the center of
0:21:59
your brain and uh relentless seven seconds every seven seconds yeah just wham wow so yeah it’s
0:22:07
nickname is suicide migraine and that’s because that’s how most people treat it so i had an
0:22:16
experience with it that uh like i said before my father had trout farm and there’s a thing with
0:22:22
with fish farming that you learn about like temperature and oxygenation and with trans
0:22:29
germinal neuralgia the only thing they can do to lessen the pain they give you painkillers but
0:22:32
the only thing that seems to actually work upon it is oxygen and i was in this car park i had the
0:22:40
two girls we went went to town to get something and i was struggling and um and i remember i was
0:22:46
standing there and i looked up and there was there was a mcdonald’s and i looked at this mcdonald’s
0:22:54
and i went i’ve got an idea and i went and got a thick shake and i stuck the straw right up into
0:23:01
my cheek as much as i could and i sucked it up there like stucco right and then the pain stopped
0:23:07
for about 30 seconds and i was like i think i understand what’s going on the anti-inflammatories
0:23:16
and the painkillers are stopping the body from being able to process it is keeping it in a chronic
0:23:21
state so i went off the painkillers i’d been accidentally taking double the amount i’d misread
0:23:28
the instructions at that point i was off my head and um and anyway i went off the painkillers and
0:23:36
I woke up the next day and my bed was drenched I had massive fever my bed was drenched and it was
0:23:43
gone and and it was like okay now we start to move we start to start to get moving and
0:23:53
I was starting to think about because the main thing at that point that I’d learned
0:24:00
from that book that dad had shown me was really that universal law is a thing there’s there’s
0:24:09
rules to how the world works and i’d always suspected it but i never really understood it
0:24:13
and i had one i had transmutation of energy and it was like okay so started to start to research
0:24:20
but most importantly start to apply and then as you start to apply things start to move and i ended
0:24:26
up getting a beautiful mentor who lived next door to me and um best to Groot and um she’s still
0:24:35
one of my closest friends and mentors and and um she as an energetic therapist and um you know
0:24:43
natural therapy practitioner she did the humpty dumpty she just put me back together again
0:24:48
and i got up and running she trained me she showed me how to put it all together
0:24:53
and then I started doing the work that I was doing
0:24:56
and that led from one opportunity to the next
0:24:58
and as it went and my study of everything I was trying to learn
0:25:03
about this as we’re going, it started to just pick up the experience
0:25:07
but you pick up the knowledge and that’s the thing.
0:25:10
Like I say, we’re an ocean of grace.
0:25:12
When you start, you make a decision,
0:25:13
this is exactly what you’re going to do.
0:25:16
The way the universe conspires to assist you is insane.
0:25:22
it’s absolutely crazy how much can come in well jason thank you for sharing all of this it’s
0:25:29
it’s always infinitely fascinating to me how we became who we are today and there are countless
0:25:38
different experiences that one has through their life that slightly alter the course you’re on it’s
0:25:45
like a constant process of the search for product market fit yeah take like a startup term you know
0:25:52
And it’s like, okay, which direction do I go in right now?
0:25:55
And always slightly changing.
0:25:58
There is a number of terms that you’ve brought up
0:26:01
that I don’t think most people listening will understand.
0:26:05
And I think it would be really cool to spend some time covering those.
0:26:09
And the first major one that you’ve touched on a couple of times now
0:26:14
is the idea of energy transmutation.
0:26:16
So what does that mean?
0:26:19
and could you give some examples as to how you can apply that to day-to-day life yeah sure so
0:26:25
energy transmutation is a recognition that energy when energy is brought into form it goes through
0:26:36
three predictable steps there’s actually four of them but um from most like a physics model when
0:26:43
they look at it they say there’s three and and those three are uh there is a creation phase
0:26:48
and then there’s a stasis and then there’s entropy or decay so in a business sense a person turns
0:26:56
around says all right i’m going to build my business i’m going to build a million dollar
0:26:59
business okay just as a number and they build a million dollar business well when they first start
0:27:04
energy is released in that process so there’s motivation enthusiasm there’s interest you know
0:27:12
We’re rocking along and we’re building and building and building and building.
0:27:16
And then we hit a million dollars, which is what we told our subconscious was all we’re
0:27:20
allowed to have.
0:27:21
And then we stopped creating and we now just flatten out and we’re just trying to maintain
0:27:28
that structure.
0:27:29
But as we’re doing it, there’s all these entropic forces, you know, the market’s changing, time
0:27:36
is going on, staff come and go, people got different motivations, someone gets sick,
0:27:41
we have another kid you know all these things start to work upon that very stable million
0:27:46
dollar business and if i don’t change anything well even inflation if i don’t change anything
0:27:53
then that million dollars starts to fall down and as it goes it picks up momentum because the rate
0:27:59
of decay increases and then eventually it falls apart and that business doesn’t exist anymore
0:28:05
so where people create lasting wealth and i think that book the thing that i found really
0:28:13
interesting about that book is it was written by a guy i’m really sorry i don’t remember his name
0:28:17
um yeah i did look it up james e hughes jr yeah american lawyer yeah but he was in international
0:28:25
trade law business law and he had a niche that that he had worked in a lot which was offering
0:28:34
financial advice and setting up structure for families that had had wealth for a long time
0:28:41
so you know not just one or two generations we’re talking people that have had it for like 850 years
0:28:48
and they were he was working with these families families in asia families in europe and also
0:28:55
families in america and so on around the world uk and you had people that had wealth for centuries
0:29:01
and he was always fascinated in that because the more he talked to them they all said they had the
0:29:08
same fear and that fear was shirt sleeves to shirt sleeves in three generations um or even in
0:29:15
asia because he said about that and they said oh yeah yeah we’re terrified of that that’s the same
0:29:20
we have the same saying it’s it’s a rice field rice field in three generations they said but
0:29:25
because everyone’s identified that it’s like yeah that thing of the three generations of the
0:29:30
transmutation of energy is a real thing and um and the reason that they were engaging in services
0:29:37
in the first place is they were thinking how do we break that cycle and it’s a fascinating question
0:29:44
and from my perspective the way in which you break that cycle is that you don’t you work with it
0:29:54
and if you work with it what you do is that you make every generation the first generation
0:30:01
everybody is encouraged to create their own thing and in doing that we end up not with a line on a
0:30:10
graph but we end up with all of these threads going through their cycles of creation and
0:30:15
creation stasis and decay and they’re all woven together and they’re like a rope they’re just all
0:30:22
these fibers make this immensely strong mass that goes on it gives the illusion of permanence but
0:30:28
there’s nothing could be further from the truth said this is a living thing and when we understand
0:30:36
we start working we start crowding is that the other universal laws and natural laws become
0:30:41
self-evident so yeah it’s it’s in that it doesn’t matter what you’re doing
0:30:48
yeah whether it’s a relationship or anything i’m just trying to find something here
0:30:56
um so we had a mentoring session a couple weeks ago and i’ve been going through
0:31:03
as you know a a real shift around this podcast and what it represents and what you’ve just teed
0:31:12
up is an excellent segue into like this use case in a sense and it’s like what are we actually doing
0:31:18
here that what’s the point charging around creating all this stuff our whole life when the people that
0:31:24
you give it to just don’t understand what to do with it and and so unless the unless unless you
0:31:30
are sophisticated enough to understand that you need to be investing into your humanistic wealth
0:31:36
and your intellectual capital to drive financial returns.
0:31:40
The next generation also need to be investing
0:31:44
into their humanistic and intellectual capital
0:31:46
in the same way.
0:31:47
And so it’s that transfer of knowledge
0:31:50
from one generation to the next
0:31:51
that’s like really crucial piece of this puzzle.
0:31:54
But where I’ve struggled and what I noticed recently
0:31:58
is I absolutely blitzed it to like 100 episodes,
0:32:01
hit quarter of a million views, loving it,
0:32:04
but it came at a cost.
0:32:06
And a lot of that was in Pat and Michael, shout out to those guys who I hired to help produce and edit all the content that we were pumping out every day, all this stuff.
0:32:17
Great feedback for it, but I hadn’t figured out a revenue model.
0:32:20
I was like, I’ll just do costs in year one.
0:32:22
I’ll deal with revenue in year two.
0:32:23
and as I started thinking about the different ways of making money from 250,000 views
0:32:28
every single revenue option requires time and attention whether it’s an affiliate marketing
0:32:35
program or if it’s some kind of high-end coaching program you sell someone 10 grams of coaching
0:32:40
you’ve then got to fulfill that yeah it sounds really obvious right but I was guilty of charging
0:32:47
into a project that I wrapped up as this next massive business opportunity when actually I don’t
0:32:54
need to sell my time for money anymore and this is an extraordinarily admittedly first world problem
0:33:01
to have but it’s a result my father dying young inheriting money and being a capital allocator in
0:33:07
a financial sense fucking it up a bunch of times coming across bitcoin realizing oh actually we can
0:33:14
to save we don’t have to invest all right we’ll sack the financial advisor do this thing over here
0:33:20
but even with that being true leaving behind the conditioned mindset of work work work work work
0:33:28
has been really difficult and is an ongoing game and this is where the humanistics
0:33:35
lens is so fascinating because it’s actually what if that’s your job and right now I’m
0:33:42
homeschooling my kids and it’s about investing into them and my my friendships with them and how
0:33:46
they set out in the world and i i wrote an article that i posted on my nostra account recently and in
0:33:53
it i quoted you from our previous one of our previous sessions and you reframe this so well
0:33:59
it’s like i’m just going to quote it back now so your focus is on solving the humanistic problem
0:34:04
all we have to do is expand our job your work is thinking about legacy of multi-generational
0:34:13
healing via multi-dimensional application of time space and energy with humanistic intellectual and
0:34:19
financial capital to pass down to your kids via energy transmutation the idea of each generation
0:34:26
being the first generation the legacy of each person as a pioneer now that’s an interesting
0:34:33
job to have and it is and it’s like hell yeah how do we make that happen and so to your point
0:34:39
working with this universal law of energy transmutation of creation stasis and decline
0:34:46
the the philosophy perhaps or the the intellectual
0:34:51
um wisdom is the application of that through the intergenerational wealth management it’s like no
0:34:58
no, you’re absolutely going to get given every bit of space you need to go and figure out what it is you love,
0:35:04
where you want to make a mistake a gazillion times until you figure it out.
0:35:08
And the family will encourage that.
0:35:11
I mean, how cool is that?
0:35:16
So where did, to follow on this timeline, like, how did you start to piece some of those bits of the puzzle together?
0:35:24
and it’s really it’s been really good for me to pull it together and go okay well my day jobs now
0:35:31
my homeschooling dad job and then it’s my health and then at 8 38 at night it’s do what you find
0:35:39
fun and have a creative project such as a podcast that is not about making money in the first
0:35:45
instance and that reframe has totally changed my day I’m no longer stressed about posting stuff I’m
0:35:52
no longer worried about like what all these things i’ve got to do um and i guess that’s the beauty of
0:35:58
a mentor right you know it’s it’s it’s helped me hugely so anything that resonates out of that jason
0:36:04
it’s yeah it’s it’s really powerful i i often because the nature of my work i talk to people
0:36:11
about all manner of things and and i really never know what i got until i sit down with somebody
0:36:17
so um because that’s kind of the that’s the niche that i fit in so people come to me with
0:36:23
with uh unusual problems and um but i i can’t tell you how many times i had conversations with
0:36:31
people where they talk about stresses in their relationship for example which is a humanistic
0:36:36
wealth and they say you know my wife’s saying that she wants to go to marriage counseling
0:36:43
and it’s like oh so are you going to do that and like oh i don’t want it you know it’s expensive
0:36:48
it doesn’t work and it’s like oh okay so how do you know well you know people tell me you know
0:36:54
it’s like you know it can be like two or three hundred dollars a session that could be like six
0:36:58
or eight hundred bucks and i always say to him i say well yeah that’s interesting isn’t it but
0:37:03
what do you reckon your net worth is said because whatever half of that is that’s what you’re going
0:37:09
to lose for not going to counseling it doesn’t matter whether the counselor i mean guys if you’ve
0:37:16
got your if somebody’s listening to this and they’re saying my spouse is saying to me i think
0:37:20
we should go to counseling let me explain it to you in simple terms she’s saying what she’s saying
0:37:26
i just want you to put an effort into something other than your project i want you to put energy
0:37:34
into me and it doesn’t matter whether or not the advice is good the fact that you got off your ass
0:37:39
made the decision that you’re interested in something humanistic and not just financial
0:37:43
that will probably save your relationship and if you can’t feel the value of humanistic wealth
0:37:49
it’s like just think about half your net worth and you’re going to hand plus legals right that’s
0:37:54
that’s what the monetary value of humanistic is and it’s in its crudest form so all the time we
0:38:02
get this all the time is that our society doesn’t doesn’t um reward what is valuable
0:38:10
we constantly being told about how important children are how important the future is
0:38:15
and yet teachers health care workers um mothers said stay at home parents right they’re offered
0:38:24
nothing they’re really badly paid if paid at all in our society and if uh and particularly with
0:38:33
women if women decide that they’re going to have kids then they’re financially punished for it
0:38:39
and yet what else is it that we’re building that’s a value except for your family that
0:38:46
it’s the it’s the absolute root of humanistic wealth is the people that you love thrive and
0:38:53
one of those people have to be you because it’s a trickle down if you don’t thrive and your
0:38:59
relationship with your spouse doesn’t thrive your kids they’re in that so they’re not going to thrive
0:39:05
and what we do when we take control of things like humanistic wealth is that we shift and i remember
0:39:13
having a lovely conversation with um uh dr ash morland and um she’s a like a neuro neuroscientist
0:39:23
and we were talking about these concepts and she said okay so and i’m going to quote it because
0:39:28
i wish i’d thought of it right she said so so what um so what you’re saying is is that if we do this
0:39:36
we go from being a carrier of intergenerational trauma to a carrier of intergenerational healing
0:39:44
and it’s like just let that land for a minute said how much stuff in your life that you look
0:39:52
back on and go wow you know my parents my grandparents my aunties my uncles their parents
0:39:57
so they really did a number on us said well it could stop with you you could be the one that
0:40:04
stops it your kids could look back and go oh yeah said um you know mom and dad may not have been
0:40:11
perfect but oh my god what we got from them said that’s that’s our legacy because you know
0:40:19
legacy is such a powerful word isn’t it absolutely to to try and bring this concept into kind of
0:40:28
you know if someone’s out there listening thinking oh well how do i improve my life
0:40:32
you know these guys are banging on about humanistic wealth it sounds like the first
0:40:38
step is to improve yourself you’ve just almost kind of touched through this and that filters
0:40:43
through to the rest of you and your family or whatever might be your close-knit relationships
0:40:48
how do you start what’s the best way to is there a best way to go about this do you think
0:40:55
yeah i think what you got to do if i was to
0:41:01
if someone says to me like because since the time that i had all that stuff go to crap and i started
0:41:12
to pick myself up and change quality of life right my life is very very different today
0:41:18
and if i was to say what was the single most important thing that i did the single most
0:41:26
important thing that i did was i stopped bloody listening to everyone else i started to go in
0:41:32
and say actually what matters to me because it wasn’t i thought it was work i thought it was
0:41:39
building a legacy. I thought it was, you know, the making the money and giving my family a quality
0:41:45
of life. And at the end of the day, all they wanted was to spend time with me. And it was like,
0:41:51
well, I wasn’t spending time with me. So of course I wasn’t comprehending that they would want to do
0:41:57
that So when I started to really spend time with me not just like in meditation and so on but to look at it and go well no actually what do I care about What do I like
0:42:09
What do I like to eat?
0:42:11
What do I like to wear?
0:42:13
What do I like to read?
0:42:15
What hobbies do I want?
0:42:16
What’s, you know, even what do I watch on TV?
0:42:19
It’s like we just go with the flow most times.
0:42:24
And a lot of what we think are our goals are not our goals at all.
0:42:28
They’re just preconditioned responses.
0:42:30
And we’ve got, when we can get out of that paradigm
0:42:33
and start to go, no, no, how do I actually think?
0:42:37
So start making decisions from that point.
0:42:40
So your priorities shift so much that it’s quite staggering.
0:42:44
And yet to the outside, it doesn’t look like anything’s changed.
0:42:48
You know, it’s like, oh, somebody’s now going to the gym
0:42:51
or somebody’s now, you know, into mountain biking
0:42:55
or somebody likes to go to the movies on a Thursday.
0:42:57
or going on holidays with their kids or whatever.
0:43:01
So that’s all it looks like.
0:43:03
So there’s not some massive,
0:43:05
you don’t have to go for the complete transformation.
0:43:08
So one of the big things at the moment
0:43:10
is we have a really big problem in the Western paradigm
0:43:15
of immature masculinity and femininity.
0:43:19
And I won’t say toxic because from my perspective,
0:43:22
you have masculine, you have feminine, you have toxic
0:43:24
and they’re completely separate things.
0:43:26
arsehole’s an arsehole doesn’t matter what their gender is right and said what they’re doing is is
0:43:33
a problem so for us it’s we have this immature masculinity if i explain it like think about who
0:43:43
says this you’ve got to be six foot and six figures you’ve got to you’ve got to date you know
0:43:51
only models you’ve got to be driving supercars you’ve got to be living like james bond so that’s
0:43:58
a 12 year old boy’s fantasy of what it is to be a successful adult it’s immature most people in the
0:44:06
west are being sold this idea that a successful man in particular is a 12 year old boy it’s
0:44:13
ridiculous mature masculinity is understanding your capacity for leadership and mentorship and
0:44:20
being a provider and being a creator of safety it’s developing quality relationships and being
0:44:27
that foundation of healing for everybody that knows you so that’s that’s where your real legacy
0:44:35
is because on one level like your your mother is always your mother you know from your father you
0:44:43
got one cell you got you got one cell and half of your first cell and all the rest your mum built
0:44:52
and she built in her own body by changing her body and then she pushed out your body and so
0:44:59
you’re always your mother is always your mother regardless who they are as a person but your
0:45:04
father is very much about legacy it’s who they are what they what they their example of who they
0:45:13
were as a person their integrity is what stays with you long after everything else goes so it’s
0:45:20
those important lessons um it’s like an initiation is what we get from them and jason on that same
0:45:30
line of thought so uh the the masculine um characteristics you just took us through what
0:45:38
would be today’s state from a feminine perspective well they’re basically the same so there’s this
0:45:45
kind of my observation of it the model that i use i like to make models right so so literally and
0:45:54
figuratively so with with creating these systems usable tools so for me masculinity and femininity
0:46:01
are very they’re basically the same categories there’s five of them so you have in the mascot
0:46:07
I’ll start with the masculine, it’s the easiest to see it.
0:46:09
So it’s like we have the provider,
0:46:11
which is the ability for you to solve the problems of life,
0:46:15
not just money.
0:46:17
And I mean, and to be fair, in our society,
0:46:19
what’s the first problem every man needs to solve?
0:46:21
How to make money, right?
0:46:23
Because if you don’t know how to make money,
0:46:24
you don’t get to have all the other problems.
0:46:26
So the next one is being a protector.
0:46:30
Now, being a protector means that you have a quality about you
0:46:34
where you will move towards danger
0:46:37
to allow the people that you love to be safe.
0:46:41
The third one is leadership.
0:46:43
And that means that you have a vision of your own life
0:46:49
that’s so big that you can invite people into it
0:46:52
and they can grow and still not be suffocated within it.
0:46:57
It’s that you can hold a vision for the people that you love
0:47:00
that allows them to grow to their full capacity
0:47:02
and still be held by you.
0:47:04
That’s genuine leadership.
0:47:07
And then if you can think in multiple generations,
0:47:10
then that’s mentorship.
0:47:12
And then the last one is safety creation.
0:47:14
And that is that people need to feel safe just because you’re there
0:47:21
and they need to feel safe from you.
0:47:25
And in order to create that,
0:47:26
you have to be a little bit dangerous on some levels.
0:47:29
You have to be able to go when push comes to shove,
0:47:31
you’re quite happy to shove back.
0:47:33
and it’s the the men and women that i’ve known that are really excellent in that safety creation
0:47:41
said they’re terrifyingly dangerous individuals they’re like ex-military and um you know or uh
0:47:49
high level martial artists extremely physically fit power lifters people like that so these are
0:47:55
people that if they lost it it’s a problem but they don’t lose it their ability to be regulated
0:48:03
is what creates a safety the fact if you if you are dangerous and you don’t get angry at people
0:48:11
not because it’s suppressed but because it’s fine you’ve got such control your emotions that your
0:48:17
anger is is not an explosion of dysregulation so if you have that the safety that creates in the
0:48:24
nervous systems of the people around you and particularly when the masculine to the feminine
0:48:28
what it does is it allows it allows a woman to be in her feminine if she if you don’t turn up in
0:48:35
those factors she has to turn up and that means she can’t be who she is so as a provider the
0:48:43
provider is nurturing in in the protection it’s the same it’s the protection but she’s protecting
0:48:51
your heart she’s protecting your soul she’s a visionary the same she’s a mentor the same
0:48:57
and a safety creator women are built to do one thing that men are not and that is navigate chaos
0:49:04
and the single most terrifying force in the universe for men is chaos and that is why like
0:49:13
sailors used to carve women into the figureheads of their ships right so the ocean was the absolute
0:49:18
metaphor of chaos and they needed a woman to guide them through it it was what gave them the strength
0:49:24
I used to be a civil monk in a Buddhist order and a Shaolin disciple.
0:49:31
And in those sort of temple structures,
0:49:36
they don’t revere many like deities or, you know, anything like that.
0:49:45
But there’s a couple of those operative spirits that they do revere.
0:49:52
and the most important of them is guan yin which is a woman or technically it is the embodiment of
0:49:58
the feminine compassion of mercy and that’s because men can’t reach their potential you
0:50:06
you cannot reach your potential as a mature man initiated into those mysteries without a mature
0:50:15
a woman doing that with you and the paradox is she can’t do it either so it requires the masculine
0:50:22
feminine and and even in like same-sex relationships and so forth one will hold the masculine energy
0:50:29
one will hold the feminine energy and they may switch roles and we may switch roles like in a
0:50:34
heterosexual couple may switch roles sometimes the woman is in a masculine and the guy’s in the
0:50:39
feminine and it’s fine it’s that interplay is really important but for women for women in
0:50:48
particular everything is about safety and anything if you’re having trouble in your relationship on
0:50:56
any level um and you’re a guy and uh the woman in your life is is struggling with you on some level
0:51:03
then that is because you’re not making a safe and if you can figure out where you’re not making a safe
0:51:10
then if you solve that problem you’ll solve the problem so it’s uh it’s interesting that’s most
0:51:18
of the stuff we have in those dynamics we think they’re all complex communication issues they’re
0:51:22
not they’re simple we’re very simple i’m very sophisticated but we’re also very simple
0:51:28
so it’s fascinating and i just i love listening to you break these kind of things down
0:51:34
and it strikes me very clearly that this is intellectual capital so this is information
0:51:41
that is revealing itself to me right now in this conversation for me to then do what i might need
0:51:47
with it apply wisdom essentially or creativity however you might describe that and that intellectual
0:51:55
capital when deployed effectively is a bolster to your humanistic again particularly when you’re
0:52:01
when you’re thinking about your relationship with your other half and like how can you improve this
0:52:06
where is it not going as well as it could go what you just described immediately made me think about
0:52:11
the last three years of um moving from rental property to rental property with one kid and
0:52:18
then two kids and then three kids and it got really intense at points and essentially your
0:52:24
wife is like i’m not safe yeah why am i not safe right now that’s on you mate and it is it lets
0:52:33
know it if i can hide um and it triggers the shit out of you because you’re not good enough
0:52:38
and it’s like all right well how do i solve that problem and of course that’s one specific example
0:52:44
there’s different ways of doing it um very cool though jason so to kind of come back to that
0:52:50
question of of how does someone implement some of these things in their life it’s essentially like
0:52:57
think about what you want you know that sounds so simple but um please i can see you have a comment
0:53:08
take it from there yeah get into the truth of it not what you think you want it’s why i was
0:53:14
talking about the immature masculinity because most just you know being a guy it said most of
0:53:21
the stuff we’re presented as a guy is some form of you know you want to you want to do well in school
0:53:29
or sport so you can then make lots of money with lots of money you get yourself a good wife or
0:53:36
you know or you know endless string of girlfriends whatever it is that that you feel you need and
0:53:42
then you’re going to have status and that status is going to give you power and that power you’re
0:53:45
going to use to make lots more money and you’re going to the cycle will continue around and around
0:53:49
and around i said well that might be that might have been a good idea for somebody but it may not
0:53:56
be yours at all some people what they want more than anything is just to have quiet time at home
0:54:02
have a lovely garden to to watch their kids grow up and see their see nurture their children into
0:54:09
having a happy life so it’s there’s not a there’s not a right or wrong answer there’s really only
0:54:16
right or wrong for you so if what we’re doing if we don’t stop and say what actually matters to me
0:54:23
then we’re going to burn all of our time and our space and our energy pursuing goals that
0:54:33
ultimately are empty to us we’ll accomplish them and then we’ll get there and go
0:54:38
what was that all about what was the point of that yeah yeah and that makes me think back to
0:54:45
what i touched on before about where i’d got the podcast to accelerated out of the gates essentially
0:54:52
and then realized like who am i doing this for and there i was once again seeking validation
0:54:59
externally for something that ultimately was supposed to be a creative pursuit for internal
0:55:06
and that’s the loop
0:55:08
there it is
0:55:09
obviously it’s your wife that points it out
0:55:12
and you’re like what are you talking about
0:55:14
you know
0:55:16
there’s a reason why you’re going to get one
0:55:19
yeah
0:55:19
I’ve done that thing again haven’t I
0:55:22
and in some ways trying to prove myself to my
0:55:24
father who’s been dead for over 15 years
0:55:26
why
0:55:29
he’s not here Jake
0:55:30
what do you want
0:55:33
and I think that’s almost
0:55:34
it’s so confronting in some ways isn’t it because yeah only you can answer that there’s no textbook
0:55:39
for it there’s no mentor for it there’s no wife for it no nothing right it’s like no no this is
0:55:46
going to come down to you and you alone oh my gosh and so jason i’m intrigued to to flesh a
0:55:53
bit more around this idea of being a spiritual mentor so for those that have listened so far
0:55:58
you know coming up to an hour you’ve got a bit more time jason yeah yeah sure yeah cool
0:56:03
um and so i i had some some questions from some audience members because i posted something this
0:56:12
morning saying i’ve i’ve got my energetics mentor jason coming on we’re going to do a deep dive on
0:56:17
humanistic capital and someone called beep boop whoever they are i have a question the fuck is
0:56:27
um energetics mental like what does that even mean um i’d love to start there because i think
0:56:34
it’s a great question right we’ve already talked through this concept of um energy transmutation
0:56:40
but like what would you really describe energetics as as a very kind of high level and we’ll take it
0:56:46
from there yeah so i suppose there’s different there’s different things about this um i i suppose
0:56:54
for me because for me i look at what i do is applied spiritual spiritual principles so in
0:57:03
mentoring mentoring is different to teaching teaching is get it out of a book right mentoring
0:57:09
is what you are sharing because you’re using it so that’s why i use the term mentoring i don’t say
0:57:15
i’m a teacher of these principles because i’m using it and if i’m not using it i’m not sharing it
0:57:21
because it’s out of integrity.
0:57:25
And I’m interested in building that rope forward.
0:57:30
So because I want to build that rope,
0:57:32
it’s that you can’t be out of integrity.
0:57:33
That just cuts your rope every time.
0:57:35
And if you want to know what will put it into a decay cycle,
0:57:38
get out of integrity.
0:57:39
That’ll nail it straight away.
0:57:41
So from an energetic perspective,
0:57:43
I trained in energetic therapies,
0:57:48
which is a way of creating healing and change in the body
0:57:53
by communicating on a very subtle level of perception.
0:57:57
And you develop that ability.
0:57:59
There’s techniques for it,
0:57:59
but you actually create it through certain kinds of meditation.
0:58:03
And because I’d done that for many years,
0:58:05
I’ve got a level of perception that’s different to the average punter.
0:58:09
And I’m able to see things that other people cannot see.
0:58:12
And because of that and understanding principles,
0:58:14
I can manipulate those things to affect healing,
0:58:17
to affect change, to release trauma,
0:58:20
to work through a whole range of things.
0:58:23
And studying those principles, that’s what I do.
0:58:27
I started off my business as such,
0:58:33
built itself around the fact that I was extremely good
0:58:36
at assisting people with supernatural trauma
0:58:38
and being able to resolve that where other people
0:58:42
were unable to resolve it.
0:58:43
And being really good in that corner of the market,
0:58:46
it just expanded into people as as people come to you in in a crisis and once they come out of that
0:58:55
crisis they start to grow and they go what’s next and you go well what about this and that started
0:59:00
to grow and grow and then people started hassle me to mentor and then i started mentoring and then
0:59:04
i started doing like master classes and group mentoring and all those sorts of things they i
0:59:09
let it grow organically through universal law so um yeah it’s it’s that’s my perception of it i i
0:59:19
went to most people when they think about things like that perception they think about things like
0:59:24
clairvoyance and stuff like that they said that’s a very small little corner of it and i remember
0:59:30
the first time i really met my people was i was visiting a mentee of mine asked me to come along
0:59:39
to a workshop they were running.
0:59:40
And there was, in this room, there was like 25 people.
0:59:43
They were all very sophisticated, very successful entrepreneurs.
0:59:49
They were also what you would call clairvoyance, clairaudience.
0:59:53
They had a very high level of perception.
0:59:56
None of them were working at the MindBody Festival reading cards.
1:00:00
What they were doing is they were using their deep understanding
1:00:04
of the sophisticated movement of energy to be able to be better investors,
1:00:08
better business people they’re reading the market before the market was reading the market
1:00:12
they were cornering their industries and building great businesses using this level of perception
1:00:18
and this level of perception so there’s lots of people out there that just don’t talk about it
1:00:23
because um you know too busy winning well and is that where do you get your edge and if your edge
1:00:33
is something such as the talents you just described,
1:00:39
A, most people can’t figure that out anyway.
1:00:42
But also it’s like, that’s your edge.
1:00:44
Why would you share it?
1:00:46
Exactly right.
1:00:47
It doesn’t make sense.
1:00:47
You’re giving away your IP, essentially.
1:00:50
Yeah, that’s right.
1:00:52
And so, Jason, it reminds me of our previous episode we did
1:00:56
that, again, I’ll point people back to you from earlier this year
1:00:58
where we first met due to you helping with my second daughter, Cleo,
1:01:03
and clearing some elemental spirits.
1:01:06
It was an extraordinary experience that was, for me,
1:01:11
the first hard example of a kind of supernatural world
1:01:16
that it happened right in front of my eyes,
1:01:19
and then I got a different child afterwards.
1:01:21
I don’t want to go into that story now.
1:01:23
I’ll send people back to the previous episode.
1:01:25
But you touch on the universal laws.
1:01:28
What would be cool is to spend some time breaking down what those are.
1:01:33
And it sounds like you were looking for a set of rules
1:01:38
that you knew must be out there
1:01:40
and you clearly didn’t understand what they were
1:01:42
because you were like rock bottom or close to rock bottom
1:01:45
or rock bottom third time or whatever.
1:01:48
Yeah, I was losing.
1:01:50
So what do you mean by universal law?
1:01:53
So universal law are really the principles that underpin
1:01:59
how our reality works, the universe in which we live.
1:02:02
so there’s um just give an idea so so there’s a number of them um i work with about 16 of them
1:02:12
um and i work with principles around laws of the body laws of the soul laws of the pain body
1:02:20
um and some of the spiritual laws which are different again so ideas examples of spiritual
1:02:26
laws are things like karmic laws uh things like compassion um universal laws are things like
1:02:35
cause and effect energy transmutation law of attraction law of vibration um law of divine
1:02:43
timing so these are universal laws um and then you have laws the soul laws of the pain body and i
1:02:49
I won’t get into those because they’re kind of not far.
1:02:54
People are not uninitiated.
1:02:56
If you go into that and your subconscious starts to realize you’re aware of that,
1:03:01
that will start to make your entire life unravel And if you don have the tools to be able to work with that you just going to do your head in and do in everything else around you
1:03:12
So some knowledge, I mean, everything costs.
1:03:16
And some intellectual wealth, it costs a lot.
1:03:21
So, yeah.
1:03:23
So with universal law is that if you understand how it works,
1:03:27
you create effects that are outside of the norm.
1:03:34
So I’ve worked, I’ve really successfully worked
1:03:39
for probably the last eight years.
1:03:41
I started my business about 10 years ago, I think,
1:03:46
10, 11 years ago.
1:03:48
And when I first started it,
1:03:50
I started advertising, doing all this thing,
1:03:52
nothing, nothing happened.
1:03:53
i in the the first 12 months i got four sessions none of them were paid and they were given to me
1:04:00
by my mentor i said hey can you do this for me and i’m like sure and at that point i wasn’t i
1:04:07
was just like whatever work i could pick up i would be happy with and i got to a point where
1:04:13
i made a decision i was watching a documentary and there’s i saw this person reach in touch
1:04:18
person soul and i knew what i was looking at the moment i saw it i woke up it was like that that
1:04:25
there that’s what i’m gonna do and i don’t care if i don’t have any clients i’m just gonna drill
1:04:31
and drill and drill and drill until i become that level of practitioner and eventually the people
1:04:36
will come and about two hours later my phone blew up and i’d gone from the previous year
1:04:44
yeah four that’s crazy four unpaid sessions in 12 months i had four sessions the next day
1:04:52
and the next day and the next day and the next day and my wife had taken the kids up to see
1:04:58
her family up in canberra and she came back two weeks later i had a successful business and it
1:05:05
was like what is happening i’m like i don’t know people are just calling me for no apparent reason
1:05:12
and there are people all over the place.
1:05:14
And to give you an idea, like you think about it and you go,
1:05:19
well, you know, what I do is, you know, it’s out there.
1:05:22
But I’ve worked consistently between 700 and 1,100 sessions a year
1:05:29
for the last eight years with no ads.
1:05:33
It’s only referrals.
1:05:35
And I get people from all over the world.
1:05:37
And the fact that people all over the world come to me is insane.
1:05:41
so yeah so this is like how these things work is that when you get yourself into alignment with
1:05:48
what is the truth of how reality works reality starts co-creating with you and it’s kind of hold
1:05:55
on so and these are some of the reasons i’ve loved being mentored by you for the last it’s
1:06:02
been about 12 months now i guess and you know like for example we we’ve spoken through so many
1:06:09
different things like resentment uh we’ve spoken through you touched on the law of attraction
1:06:13
let’s spend some time just breaking that one down for example it’s like manifestation is real
1:06:19
you can manifest anything you want but it depends what the cost is and i’ve loved this whole idea of
1:06:27
momentum and keeping momentum and if what you were thinking you wanted isn’t on offer right now
1:06:33
that’s okay but what is on offer and what you pick up actually is possibly what you need to do
1:06:39
all along yeah it’s it’s a really fascinating thing the momentum momentum but like manifestation
1:06:46
manifestation has been hijacked by the the secret you know that whole idea of new age spirituality
1:06:58
which is like if i just hold it in my mind and sit on the couch the whole universe is going to
1:07:03
land in my lap. I said, that’s not real. To manifest in definition means to make something
1:07:09
real, make something tangible. And part of that’s action, big part of that’s action.
1:07:15
But that action has to be aligned with, there’s a particular process and that process,
1:07:21
just to break it down for people, when what you think, what you feel, what you say, what you do
1:07:27
are in alignment that changes who you are what you embody as an energy and that frequency that
1:07:34
you’re embodying that aligned frequency that’s what’s going out into the universe and that’s
1:07:39
what the universe mirrors back as manifested reality and um it’s like the the you know the
1:07:46
double slit experiment in physics where you know by observing by observing energy energy changes
1:07:53
and there’s i got sent something last week uh about a test in israel they were doing on live
1:08:01
blood samples and in the test they had uh under the microscope they’re observing
1:08:06
bacteria they’re observing the organelles in the blood and um and then as part of the experiment
1:08:14
they got the the person who they took the blood out of they got them watching comedies
1:08:18
and they start laughing and the moment they start like because they’re sitting like there
1:08:23
and they start laughing and they watch all of the the um the autophages like the the white blood
1:08:33
cells come alive and start attacking the bacteria in the blood so they changed the footage and showed
1:08:40
them like thriller horror movie footage and all of that process stopped and the bacteria went crazy
1:08:47
and started to overwhelm the cells of the body.
1:08:51
And you go, well, the universe is a lot more sophisticated
1:08:55
than we think it is.
1:08:57
And we hold ourselves into these really restrictive paradigms.
1:09:00
So things like manifestation, manifestation is very real.
1:09:04
If you have an idea in your head and you want to make it real
1:09:06
and you’re prepared to align, not just your frequency,
1:09:10
but your actions with that, you’re going to make it.
1:09:13
And if you’re not, you’re going to make something
1:09:15
and that can be adapted to something else.
1:09:17
and there’s a lot to it because you know there’s all the effect of the consciousness and the
1:09:22
subconscious and you know the aspects of the soul and the conditioned pain body that we walk around
1:09:29
with so there’s all these things that we need to know how to to work with in a sophisticated manner
1:09:34
but um but ultimately yeah everything is manifesting like i mean you know there’s a pen
1:09:42
but that pen started off as an idea
1:09:45
it just didn’t turn up
1:09:48
it’s so complex to make
1:09:49
that any one individual
1:09:51
cannot actually create a pencil
1:09:52
yeah
1:09:54
and the
1:09:56
intelligence that’s running all of that
1:09:59
there’s a beautiful thing about
1:10:03
this work where we
1:10:05
actually recognize the
1:10:07
incredible power of the divine
1:10:08
and
1:10:10
it’s i was talking to someone tonight and they just said oh you know isn’t it you know if i
1:10:16
hadn’t talked to you about this there’s no way i would have understood that and i said well thank
1:10:22
you but isn’t it wonderful that 40 odd years ago the divine put me in a place where i could
1:10:28
study for 40 years so i could have this conversation
1:10:32
is it like i can’t i’m not managing that so there’s there’s things happening in my life to
1:10:40
make sure these that information comes to me that i can share it that means that when we have this
1:10:45
conversation even now things we’re talking about now the the sophisticated events sequence of
1:10:52
events that’s brought all this to light that we’re sitting here now having a chat so it’s insane
1:10:58
yeah it’s like that concept you were teaching me as well about the idea of vibration and our
1:11:04
frequency and you know even certain words will dull your vibration and the opposite applies right
1:11:12
so how you talk to yourself matters what you say to other people matters you know your ideas
1:11:18
your words become who you are and or you become what they are um but equally there is information
1:11:26
out there through connection to consciousness that you can you can gather essentially and it
1:11:34
will choose someone to be the vessel to become reality and this is something that really hit me
1:11:41
is i spent so many years thinking about business ideas business idea business idea business idea
1:11:47
and i would have thought i don’t even know how many right at this stage and and still struggle
1:11:53
with this idea of even like you know creating profitable business like just something’s this
1:11:57
big block there it doesn’t work but i don’t need to as we’ve touched on already it’s like you’re
1:12:03
getting all this time to spend with your young kids and your wealth’s going up at the same time
1:12:07
like hello cheat code you found a way of doing it that’s more effective than the previous generation
1:12:12
well done that’s right you’ve actually put all of your training into practice and this is the result
1:12:19
and it triggers the fuck out of people because they’re like how are you getting to do what you’re
1:12:23
doing what no not allowed and they get they get really angry with me um but this concept of of
1:12:30
intelligence appearing only when you’re operating at a certain level that to me blew my mind because
1:12:38
basically all the ideas i was having were shit yeah the reason they’re not working right because
1:12:43
you’re you’re not you’re not you haven’t risen high enough yeah that’s right it’s it’s incredible
1:12:49
we um there’s a thing you can do this is the weird thing about vibration is that sometimes we’ll be
1:12:55
talking about something it’ll be very clear in our head and then it’ll trigger like a traumatic
1:13:00
memory and it’ll lower our frequency and then we just lose the thread and we don’t know where it is
1:13:07
and i remember i remember always thinking that was like oh well i’ve just forgotten that
1:13:12
and then one day it occurred to me that wait a minute knowledge lives at frequency
1:13:18
so i did this on a retreat i was talking and then i got caught in a bit of a trauma memory
1:13:24
and i lost the thread of it i said oh where am i and i went oh okay i said wait a minute
1:13:29
and then i just connected into source energy lifted my frequency next thing you know bang
1:13:36
it was all back in my head and i went just the road joined up and away we went like it had never
1:13:40
been never never went away it was crazy to experience it and it’s just like and anyone
1:13:48
can do that anyone can do that that’s just an awareness not it’s not like you know oh you have
1:13:53
to have years of training no you just have to be aware if you’re aware and that’s what i like about
1:13:58
it so much jason sorry to cut you off because it’s it’s it’s it’s provable verify yeah that’s
1:14:05
why it’s a law you can do it right it’s not like i trust the experts you know uh or this is the
1:14:12
history and it’s true it’s like mate that was an event a thousand years ago is that fucking real
1:14:18
i’ve got no idea because i cannot go and check it for myself but what i can try is exactly what you
1:14:24
just described which is essentially raise your vibration and see if that intelligence comes back
1:14:29
and what you’ve described is it does where i’d like to go now jason if i may let’s say we’ve got
1:14:34
another 10 minutes we’ll wrap it up is um i i hosted a podcast this week with a guy called gary
1:14:42
shout out to Gary and he begun the episode by posing the questions like what’s your life about
1:14:49
and he had two answers which was his family and Jesus and in the latter half of the conversation
1:14:57
I asked him what does Jesus mean to you and we got into this discussion around his view of the
1:15:05
world was that he’d gone through phases catholic atheist went through the navy ended up now working
1:15:13
as a software developer and has um is a christian and has a strong faith and visits church weekly
1:15:21
and gets great benefits from it with the community and just this idea of a creator and having become
1:15:28
an engineer in the way that he is it’s like the amount of complexity in this one finger
1:15:33
like it’s by design and so when you jason reference the divine or reference consciousness
1:15:41
how do you look at that is there a creator somewhere or um yeah what what what sits with
1:15:50
you in that sense i think that uh well undeniably undeniably it’s the problem is everything costs
1:16:00
and the idea that we can um well i’ll give you a good example i i’m not a musical person i don’t
1:16:11
get it my wife is a singer beautiful singer and loves music and and my youngest daughter as well
1:16:17
you know they they’re into music in a big way and they play multiple instruments and they sing and
1:16:22
do all those things right and i love it but i don’t understand it because i haven’t put the
1:16:27
work in to understand it i am too unsophisticated because i don’t care enough to do the work that’s
1:16:34
required to get that level of sophistication because i want to do things like this so this
1:16:40
is where i’ve put my my effort into so with stuff like understanding the divine a very deep way you’ve
1:16:49
got to be prepared to put the work in so we will have experiences of of the miraculous we’ll have
1:16:57
experiences of grace they’re those things where you know where for no apparent reason
1:17:03
something stepped in and changed that for us and we really should have been hit by that bus
1:17:11
or hit by that financial bus or hit by that relationship bus or that illness or whatever
1:17:16
and we weren’t because something stepped in there and took that away and did it with such
1:17:24
kindness that and such ease that we are forever changed by the experience of it
1:17:31
but in order to appreciate that we have to put the work in so um i’ve certainly had experiences
1:17:40
of perception where you recognize the different layers of creation energetically their frequencies
1:17:47
and there’s frequencies beyond and and there’s also there’s frequencies there that are
1:17:54
there’s frequencies there that are so profoundly huge and immense in their intellect that they are
1:18:07
terrifying as a human being to come even not not even to touch them but to be in the proximity of
1:18:15
the awareness of them and and that is that when we talk about the divine it is very clear as an
1:18:21
experience it’s like that thing there that thing’s running this thing right it is running everything
1:18:28
and it’s not even like we’re a little finger so we’re not we’re not even we’re not even a skin
1:18:35
cell right there’s trillions of cells in the body this thing is far beyond those numbers
1:18:40
and so the scale of its intelligence and what it’s creating and the fact that it has provided
1:18:48
for us grace it has provided for us a force of kindness and compassion and goodness that that is
1:18:57
there to nourish us that that we don’t have to earn we get it because we are part of the divine’s
1:19:05
plan and that’s it when we start to take on that idea that maybe there’s something bigger than me
1:19:12
running this show and we start to devote ourself to that it starts to reveal ourself to it
1:19:18
and if that’s if that’s coming to someone through christianity or islam or buddhism or
1:19:24
you know um their own private practice it doesn’t matter at the end of the day
1:19:29
it’s about going getting out of first everybody else’s opinion about what you should be
1:19:36
getting into your own awareness of of who you are and then getting under that who is the who
1:19:41
that understands and when you get into that it said you’re it is not it is not an issue of belief
1:19:48
it is an observation of fact and like all those things you know you don’t put the work you’re not
1:19:56
going to get the result. I’m a big fan of even that final statement. Like if you’re not willing
1:20:03
to put the work in, don’t expect any results. I think what’s fun about what we’ve gone through
1:20:08
today is what direction do you go in to do the work? You know, because one can be guilty of
1:20:17
an exuberant young man with lots of optimism and a lot of headless chicken vibes.
1:20:23
such that you get yourself into a difficult situation
1:20:27
where you’re like, I’m completely burnt out.
1:20:29
I have no idea why I’m doing what I’m doing.
1:20:31
And there must be a way of learning the rules.
1:20:37
But in lies the work, right?
1:20:40
It’s those mistakes and failures that you’re like,
1:20:42
well, that definitely wasn’t the right direction.
1:20:45
And then you can course correct, thankfully.
1:20:48
Well, okay, it’s such a fascinating thing, isn’t it?
1:20:51
to even consider like, you know, you look up at the sky, you know,
1:20:55
what are stars? What’s up there? You know,
1:20:58
one lives such a kind of sheltered day to day life, don’t they?
1:21:01
They don’t even really ever pause to like what’s going on.
1:21:09
And to your point, I guess it’s,
1:21:11
it’s very much a case of peeling back layers yourself and asking yourself the
1:21:17
hard questions. Oh my gosh. Well, Jason, I’m not going to lie.
1:21:21
I think that’s a nice place to think about closing this up.
1:21:25
Is there any final comments or thoughts
1:21:29
that you feel like you haven’t had a chance to share
1:21:30
that you’d like to?
1:21:33
No, it’s been wonderful.
1:21:35
I think if I can leave anyone with a takeaway,
1:21:41
the takeaway should be just give yourself permission.
1:21:44
It doesn’t need to be, you don’t have to go like Batman begins,
1:21:48
you know, climbing up a glacier in the middle of nowhere.
1:21:51
really i did that very appropriate way yeah well look i went off i was a i was a hillbilly living
1:21:58
in the middle of nowhere in country new south wales and i ended up going to shalin temple
1:22:02
and not the commercial shalin temple the actual old masters of shalin temple and um and that was
1:22:10
a big process and i went and did that and i came back and you go well now what right so it’s it’s
1:22:18
At the end of the day, you get to a point where you’ve got to say,
1:22:21
what do I want?
1:22:23
What do I actually want?
1:22:24
Not what I think I want.
1:22:25
Not what do I have to do because I’ve got to pay rent.
1:22:28
No, it’s like what I actually want.
1:22:31
And if you can just sit with that question long enough
1:22:34
that you can get a proper answer out of that,
1:22:36
you’re already building humanistic capital.
1:22:39
And that’s where all the other ones flow from.
1:22:43
And actually to dovetail on that,
1:22:45
I think one of the realizations that I’ve been fortunate to come to when I asked the question, what do I want?
1:22:53
I realized that actually a lot of the things that I’ve always ever wanted, I have.
1:22:58
A life of financial freedom with a wife and children.
1:23:02
I mean, you’re looking at it, Jake.
1:23:04
What else do you want?
1:23:07
And of course, you can rejig that to find other things that you want.
1:23:12
but the point that I realized there I guess was just slow down mate it’s it’s all here already
1:23:19
what are you searching for what are you what are you running after um and perhaps that applies for
1:23:26
many people you know they stop and slow down and go well actually I’m just running on this pedal
1:23:31
over here going crazy trying to think about all this stuff that I haven’t done that I apparently
1:23:34
need to do and I step off it and I’m like oh I think actually it’s it’s okay oh yeah that’s life
1:23:42
isn’t it well Jason thank you so much for your time this evening and thank you so much for your
1:23:46
help the last year or so obviously anyone listening highly encourage you to reach out and book a
1:23:51
session with Jason if it feels like the right thing because it’s been a huge value to me so
1:23:56
yeah with that Jason I’ll say thank you very much thank you Jake it’s a pleasure always my pleasure
1:24:02
Thank you.
